Karla Stuewe - Ashtanga Yoga Teacher |
|
Karla began practicing
yoga in 2003 to compliment her hard core participation
on UoT’s Varsity Rugby Team. Yoga was the ideal way to
balance out aches and pains, to stretch out tight hips,
quads, and hams, as well as to build and sustain a
strong core. By the end of the season, Karla was fully
immersed into her Yoga practice.
In 2007
Karla completed Downward Dog’s Teacher Training with
Diane Bruni and Ron Reid. She began teaching Ashtanga
Yoga at various Toronto studios’ including the Yoga
Sanctuary Danforth, Yoga Sanctuary College and Moksha
Mississauga.
Karla’s unique
and intuitive perception of the body mechanics
will help Spinners to even out imbalance in the
body. As a compliment to your Spin workout,
Karla’s yoga sessions will focus on injury
preventions, opening the hips, easing lower back
discomfort and core strength development and
maintenance. Intimate and secure class
environments lend to personalized attention and
open dialogue. Maintaining a dedicated personal practice is a priority for teaching from the heart. Following a traditional Mysore path, Karla currently practices under the expertise of David Robson, certified by Sri Patabis Jois, at Ashtanga Yoga Center of Toronto. |
